Le château de Langeais, est une demeure Renaissance, construite par Louis XI en 1465. It replaced an ancient fortified castle built in the late Xᵉ century by the Count of Anjou Foulques Nerra.
Here, you can discover the daily life of a great lord in the late Middle Ages, with a lively scenography that recreates the atmosphere and organization of a great lordly residence.
The Château offers a children’s puzzle trail and a park with games and a tree house.
Opposite the Château are the ruins of the Château’s former keep, which can be climbed using a wooden scaffold to admire the panoramic view over the Valley and the medieval Château de Langeais.
