The Royal Abbey of Notre-Dame de Fontevraud is an ancient Benedictine abbey, seat of the Order of Fontevraud, founded in 1101 by Robert d’Arbrissel and located at Fontevraud, near Saumur in Anjou.

It is one of the largest monastic cities in Europe.

Founded in the 12th century, the Royal Abbey of Fontevraud has stood the test of time to become a UNESCO World Heritage Site .

The site also opens the doors of its Art Gallery.
