Located at the start of the wine road of Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil, Château de Rochecotte presents its selection of winemakers for cellar visits and tasting. Classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2010, Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil is located on the road of the great castles of the Valley of the Kings. There is an oceanic climate, milder, which provides earlier grapes. This terroir gives pride of place to the Cabernet-Franc grape variety dominating the 1,100 hectares of the vineyard. This appellation of controlled origin «Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil» is the largest wine-growing commune in France.
Domaine de la Jarnoterie
At the heart of the Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil appellation, come and discover the Janoterie vineyard, a unique signature handed down for 5 generations. Facing south and protected from the north winds, their goal is to highlight the subtlety of their grape variety and reveal the best of our terroir. This family estate practices a well-reasoned culture and respectful of the environment in order to give birth to wines finely textured at the same time fleshy, delicate, elegant and fruity.
Domaine de la Chanteleuserie
It is in the town of Benais, where you can enjoy the wines of this domain where eight generations of winemakers have succeeded each other for more than 200 years. Facing south, the Chanteleuserie estate has specialized since 1937 in the cultivation of vines and wine production of Bourgueil. Christine, Thierry and their son Alexis welcome you to exchange and taste this precious nectar.
Le clos des Quarterons
This domain is above all the history of the Amirault family; Agnès and Xavier as well as the entire team of the Clos des Quarterons warmly welcome you to share with you the passion that unites them. Unique place with a cellar dug in the stone of tuffeau, this area promotes organic and biodynamic agriculture.
A sharing that has been handed down for 5 generations. Since 1990, organic and biodynamic farming has been practised in the heart of this vineyard. Their vineyard is the fruit of intergenerational and family work where you can find two Ligian single-grape varieties : the chenin and the cabernet franc.
Domaine Frédéric Mabileau
